I began my engineering career with Pickens / Bond Construction Company of Little Rock, Arkansas, working as engineer and construction project manager for their subsidiary company called MACHEN Construction.  MACHEN was a heavy civil construction company specializing in earthwork, water, sewer, and drainage construction.  Primary projects I worked on were power and industrial plant projects.  I work at MACHEN from June 1979 to July 1983.

In August 1983 I accepted a job with Fairfield Communities, Inc. (FCI) as Engineering Manager.  In October 1983 I was promoted to Vice President of Engineering and Development, Fairfield Communities, Inc., Fairfield Bay.  In this position I was responsible for conceptual design for product development, project costing, project plans and specification writing, contracting and/or in-house construction.  In addition to the engineering responsibilities I also was responsible for the FCI and Fairfield Bay Community Club (FFBCC) heavy equipment shop, building maintenance department, landscape department, and the wastewater department.  I was responsible for hiring and firing managers for each of these departments and overseeing their performance.  During my time with FCI I was elected as an FCI representative to the Community Club Board.  This occurred in 1985.  I served on the board and in the described capacity with FCI until March 1990.

In 1990 I resigned my position with FCI and accepted the position of General Manager of Community Water System, Inc., Greers Ferry, Arkansas. I served as CWS General Manager until December 2002. During this time I developed numerous water supply projects, one of which was the Faulkner/Cleburne Countries Water Treatment and Supply Project valued at over $30 million dollars. This project alone propelled CWS into a regional wholesale water supplier.

In 1995, I formed Cenark Project Management Services in order to perform outside engineering and consulting work on a limited basis. While President of Cenark Project Management Services, Inc., I served as CWS General Manager until December 2002. In 2000 Cenark, under separate contract, contracted to provide Project Director Services to develop the second large scale regional water supply project for Community Water System.

December 2002 I began full time operations of Cenark Project Management Services, Inc.
